Creative Expressions Night...

At the beginning of March, instructions came home with G from school that we were to help her pick a poem to memorize and perform for her class, family and friends at Creative Expressions Night on March 18.  Once again, I think S and I underestimate what kindergarteners can do, because we both thought that this would be way too much for them.  But happily we were proved wrong again and it was a great night for all of G's class.

G's poem was "Hug-o-War" by Shel Silverstein.  She really liked this poem and it fit her very well.  While we knew that G can perform well at home (goodness knows how many "shows" we have seen her put in in the past years), we didn't know how she would do in front of a "real" audience.  She was fabulous!  She did actions, used her teddy bear as a prop, and spoke slowly, loudly, and clearly.  We were so proud of her!  All of the performers got congratulated, ribbons, and a big rounds of applause, followed of course by hugs from loving parents!
