- Blog updates. Obviously not happening, as you can tell. About a month
ago, I developed pregnancy-induced carpal tunnel, and it has been
getting worse each week (along with the swelling, oh my!). Which makes
typing and writing and holding the phone and just plain living stuff
very hard to do. I had great plans for a "blessed summer" update,
kitchen and entry-way updates, and many other posts, but they will have
to be set aside for the time being.
- So rather, I am going to try to just post a photo or two and maybe a thought to go with, maybe not, until this little one arrives and also from the past month (scroll down as I will keep the dates in order). This post will be a little wordier - it has taken me all week to finish! - as we thought you needed a baby update before the little tyke is actually born!

- There. Belly shots. Which are just not happening as regularly as with the boys (sorry little one!) due to a tired momma who really doesn't like belly shots! (only done for my children because I loved looking at the photo of my mother very pregnant with me in my baby book)
- This pregnancy has been different for me than all my others. You would think my body would have this down by now! =) But humidity made me physically sick this summer, I have had heartburn which I never have had before, and now these carpal tunnel symptoms. Not. fun. But as Kathrine reminded me at our appointment today, this is a temporary condition and think about what we will have at the end of it all! I also have not been put on any restrictions or bed rest, and baby is doing so well - definitely helps put it in perspective.
- We have passed G-day at 34 weeks (how far along in my pregnancy I was when G was born) without any surprises, which is always a good thing.
- We spent a lot of time last week getting things ready for Baby B. Our room is now set up, changing table out, baby blankets washed, clothes being washed, car seats re-arranged and installed in the van, etc... And the night after we set up our room I walked in after the kids were in bed and had a complete melt-down. I think it finally hit me that we are going to have a baby soon! Obviously I know that I am pregnant and what happens, but with losing our last little one I think I have been fairly guarded with this pregnancy, and it just finally came over me that we are almost at the end. That combined with all sorts of pregnancy hormones. S just hugged me and chuckled a bit and then ushered me downstairs for ice cream...
- The kids are very excited for the baby to come. It has helped C to get baby stuff out, as his world is going to be floored quite a bit when baby comes. G wants a sister so very bad, and we had to start talking to her about it because we didn't want her to be disappointed if it was a boy! She will now tell you that it is okay no matter which one we have because if it is a sister she gets to have a sister and then there would be 3 girls and 3 boys in our family (gotta love her love of symmetry!), and if it is a brother than she gets to be the only girl kid in the family which is pretty special too.
- And Baby B is doing so very well. Moves all the time (kids say he/she is doing
gymnastics as they have all had the chance to feel the movements =),
has the hiccups more than the other kids did, and has been basically
curled up at the top right section of my belly through the whole
pregnancy (head down now, which is great, but no dropping yet!). He/she
reeks havoc on his/her momma's body at
times, but all our check-ups have been fabulous. We are so thankful and
so blessed!
