You know the problem with making homemade applesauce that is a wonderful shade of hot pink?
W thinks applesauce only comes in pink.
He refused and threw a fit when I gave him a fancy-dancy organic applesauce cup (which I thought was a treat). He kept crying "no applesauce! no applesauce!" and when I took it away thinking he didn't want it, he would cry and ask for applesauce! I thought I was going crazy until I took out the homemade stuff from the fridge and he got a huge smile on his face through his tears and points and shouts "APPLESAUCE!" So he wasn't telling me he didn't want applesauce, he was telling me the fancy white stuff I was trying to feed him was NOT applesauce.

the girls wanted applesauce while we were gone, and my mom pulled out some of hers she brought for us because she "couldn't find any open..."
I showed her the 1/2 empty clear container sitting right in the front of the fridge.
"THAT'S applesauce?!" (and they've been making their own applesauce for 30+ years!)
